The trainings are part of the project “Advancing Fundamental Rights: Strengthening Civil Society, Preventing Torture, and Transforming Prisons for Human Rights in Tajikistan”.

The project is implemented by the Public Organisation “Bureau of Human Rights and Rule of Law” in partnership with the Public Foundation “Legal Initiative” and the French organisation “Prison Insider”, with financial support from the European Union.

The training sessions cover topics such as: organisation charters, documentation and records management, labour relations in public organisations, differences between labour and civil contracts, discrimination in labour relations, taxation of NGOs, digital security, and other issues relevant to the effective operation of CSOs.

The trainings are held from May 5 to May 8 in Dushanbe and include organisations from the capital, the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, and districts under republican subordination.

“The aim of these trainings is to strengthen the capacity of Tajik civil society organisations in areas such as charter-based activity, office work, tax regulation, and digital security. After the training, our experts will provide two years of consulting support to participants and help them bring internal documentation in line with legal requirements,” said Nargis Zokirova, Director of the PO “Bureau of Human Rights and Rule of Law.”
